Summerset grills are designed with an easy to light flame thrower ignition system and some of the older grills have battery electric start mechanisms. Our current systems do not require electricity or batteries.
With the hood in the open position, simply push in the knob for 3 seconds, which allows for gas to pre-flow, followed by abruptly turning counter clockwise to the left to release the gas and adjust your flame.
Quick instructions - Hold the knob in for 3 seconds, then turn past the click ignition to light. For the back burner, allow 5-8 seconds before turning past the click ignition.
